The Traverse City Christan Boys Varsity Sabres played tough and battled some foul trouble in a 72-51 loss to Suttons Bay. The Sabres were within 10 points in the 4th but the Norsemen pulled away late. The Sabres honored senior Levi Belanger before the game but foul trouble limited Levi to 16 minutes as he collected 5 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Brock Broderick led the way in scoring with 17 points, while Elijah Mleko in his first game back in a month added 14 points. Simeon Popa scored 9 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, Cole Wierda added 7 points, and Elliott Molby and Jeremy Hansen pulled down 4 rebounds each. The Sabres wrap up the regular season on Thursday hosting Lake Leelanau St. Mary and then play in districts next Wednesday night, March 11th at Suttons Bay vs. the winner of Lake Leelanau St. Mary and Buckley.
